Dry Mouth Treatment

Dry Mouth Treatment

Many diseases enter our body through the mouth. Dry mouth has a great effect on the entry of these diseases into our body. Because people with dry mouth have very little saliva, it will be more difficult to be protected from these diseases. Our saliva, which has antibacterial and physiological effects, is very effective in preventing most diseases. In addition to this effect, it also has an important effect on oral and dental health. When our saliva is not secreted enough, an environment will be created for microorganisms to reproduce.

If there is no solution to the problem of dry mouth, many health problems may be encountered. The most common health problem is gingival inflammation. Negative conditions caused by dry mouth that may occur as a result of the use of some medicinal drugs used for treatment or as a result of chemotherapy treatment include bad breath, difficulty in speaking, distress experienced by prosthesis wearers, deterioration in the sense of taste, and cracked rim of the mouth.
